ARCHIVES, SPECIAL COLLECTIONS & DIGITISATION PROJECT

In 2016 I completed an 18-month project digitising the Trevelyan Family Photograph Albums while working  in Newcastle University’s Special Collections Department of the Philip Robinson Library. *Sir Charles Trevelyan gifted Wallington Hall in Northumberland to the National Trust.  Part of my role was to convert the albums to a virtual book version using Turning the Pages software.  The fruits of my labours can be seen by following the next link below to Newcastle Universities'  online resource.

During this period I curated several exhibitions including the successful 'Showing the Way to Wallington' cabinet displays inspired by the photograph albums. Artefacts and aspects of Molly and Charles Trevelyan's lives at Wallington Hall in Northumberland were featured, and this next link leads to a post explaining my inspiration for the exhibition design:

I worked on a number of other exhibitions at Newcastle University including 'Local Heroines: Women of our Archives', featuring Ethel Williams, Gertrude Bell, Marjorie Robinson & Molly Trevelyan, and the Sid & Michael Chaplin display on Level 2, featuring some of the writers' personal artefacts.
